Job Description:

The RN (Registered Nurse) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing specialized care to patients with acute medical conditions. The role involves managing critical care needs and participating in patient recovery, under set nurse-to-patient ratios.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke.
• Titrate medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin.
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips.
• Participate in cyclic scheduling and adhere to weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements:

• Hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to float to ICU with appropriate experience.
• Must adhere to the facility's fingernail policy.
