Position Summary

The QEHS Manager owns the full intersection of product quality, environmental compliance, and workplace health and safety s is not a coordination role — it is an ownership role. You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving Forza's ISO 9001-aligned Quality Management System, ensuring full regulatory compliance across environmental, safety, and product-related requirements, and building a culture where quality and safety are embedded in how we operate — not checked after the fact.

This role is critical to Forza's growth trajectory. As we scale the systems, culture, and accountability frameworks you build will determine whether quality and compliance are accelerators or bottlenecks. We need someone who can run the day-to-day, see around corners on regulatory risk, and build programs that outlast any single person.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Own and continuously improve Forza's ISO 9001-aligned QMS; drive toward and maintain certification
  • Manage the quality module in Net Suite ERP — ensure integration with operations and full product traceability
  • Define, monitor, and refine quality KPIs; present data-driven insights to leadership
  • Maintain controlled documentation for all SOPs, forms, work instructions, and quality records
  • Oversee incoming material inspection, in-process quality checks, and finished goods release
  • Manage the full CAPA program — from root cause investigation through closure verification
  • Plan and lead internal audits; manage external surveillance and certification audits
  • Own COA and COC generation, accuracy, and recordkeeping
  • Lead customer complaint investigations via ERP case management; drive systemic resolution
  • Manage supplier quality — qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective action
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Own and administer all OSHA-required safety programs: hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space, emergency response, PPE, and fall protection
  • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action for all near-misses and recordable events
  • Maintain OSHA 300/300A logs; manage workers' compensation interface and recordkeeping
  • Chair or lead safety committee meetings; conduct regular safety inspections and walkthroughs
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs — new hire orientation, annual refreshers, task-specific certifications
  • Own the facility's emergency response, spill control, and SPCC plans; ensure plans are current and drilled
  • Track and manage environmental reporting:
Tier II, TRI/Form R, and any state-required submissions
  • Oversee chemical usage tracking, hazardous waste management, and proper disposal documentation
  • Maintain environmental permits, stormwater compliance, and air/waste records
  • Serve as primary point of contact for OSHA, EPA, Iowa DNR, and other regulatory inspections
Regulatory & Product Compliance
  • Ensure product compliance with U.S. and international regulations: GHS, REACH, Prop 65, TSCA, FDA (where applicable)
  • Author, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS) to current standards
  • Ensure all labeling meets legal, customer, and market-specific requirements
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively assess impact on products and operations
  • Develop and update internal compliance policies in response to changing EPA, OSHA, and product regulations
Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Identify gaps in current systems and build solutions that scale with the business — not just fix the immediate problem
  • Partner with Operations, R&D, Sales, and Purchasing to integrate quality and compliance into product development and sourcing decisions
  • Train and develop cross-functional team members on QMS procedures, safety standards, and compliance expectations
  • Build a culture where quality and safety are owned at the floor level — not policed from the office
  • Support customer audits and respond to quality or compliance questionnaires from key accounts and distributors
