Trans Force is seeking a Technician to support operations in Council Bluffs, IA. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians or individuals with transferable hands-on skills looking to build a long-term career in equipment maintenance and repair.

No trailer experience? No problem. We provide training for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in related trades such as automotive repair, diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, electrical work, welding, HVAC, construction equipment repair, and other hands-on technical fields.

DIRECT HIRE | RELOCATION STIPEND AVAILABLE

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service on intermodal trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension systems, tires, and other trailer components
• Complete welding and light fabrication work as needed
• Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document maintenance and repair work
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain safe and efficient operations

We are willing to train candidates who possess strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on repair experience. Candidates from the following backgrounds are encouraged to apply:

• Diesel mechanics

• HVAC technicians
• Welders and fabricators
• Heavy equipment mechanics
• Military veterans with mechanical or technical experience
• Anyone with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn

• Trailer technician experience (intermodal or refrigerated equipment preferred but not required)
• Diesel mechanic experience
• Familiarity with CAT or Cummins engines
• Experience using diagnostic tools
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or technical manuals

• EPA 608 Certification (Universal or Type II – High Pressure Refrigeration Equipment)
• ASE Certification in Heavy Truck and/or Trailer Systems

Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays as needed)
Start Time: 8:00 AM
Shift Length: 8–11 hours depending on workload

Pay Range:

• Experienced Technicians: $30–$35/hour (based on experience)
• Entry-Level / Trainable Candidates: $22–$23/hour

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
• Ability to learn new systems and repair techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
