2nd/3rd Shift Truck & Trailer Diesel Mechanic – Wynne Transport Service, Inc.

Location:

Council Bluffs, IA.

We are looking for skilled truck and trailer diesel mechanics that want to be part of an energetic team.

2nd and 3rd Shift Positions open. Monday thru Friday, and overtime every 4th Saturday. Tractor/Trailer mechanic Full-Time $25-$30.

• Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, and associated parts.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Suspension work.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all systems pertaining to tractor/trailer operations preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
• Must be proficient in use of a computer and ability to learn usage of a program.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2-3 years' experience.

Must have the ability to Move about the company and interact with all departments. Physical requirements include but are not limited to the following: sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, climbing up and down a ladder, Ability to work outside, and occasionally carrying at least 75 pounds.
