FAMILY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
West Central Community Action is now seeking a Family Development Specialist for our FaDSS Program.
Family Development Specialists work to provide a comprehensive system of support that empowers and nurtures families towards self‑sufficiency while maintaining and building strong relationships.
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week, year‑round position based in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The candidate will work with clients within our 10‑county coverage area.
Position Requirements- Conduct meetings with program participants within the participant’s home.
- Be organized and proficient at interpreting rules and regulations as they pertain to programs directed at low‑income families.
- Have strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of web‑based programs.
- Hold a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Work or Human Services (preferred but not required).
- Have a high school diploma (required).
- Complete the Family Development Specialist certification training.
- Be willing to travel regularly within the 10‑county area.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
