Position: Family Support Worker - (FADSS Specialist)- Council Bluffs, IA

FAMILY DEVELOPMENT

SPECIALIST

West Central Community Action is now seeking a Family Development Specialist for our FaDSS Program.

Family Development Specialists work to provide a comprehensive system of support that empowers and nurtures families towards self-sufficiency while maintaining and building strong relationships.

This Full-Time, 40 hours per week & year-round position will be based in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It requires working with clients within our 10 county coverage area.

Position Requirements
  • Conduct meetings with program participants within the participant's home.
  • Be organized and proficient in interpreting rules and regulations as they pertain to programs directed at low‑income families.
  • Have strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of web‑based programs.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Work or Human Services preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Complete the Family Development Specialist certification training.
  • Regular travel within the 10‑county area may be required.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and valid auto liability insurance.
