Production Sous Chef/ Resort Chef Hourly wage: $18.75

Job Summary:

Love the idea of working where the air is fresh, the views are unreal, and your “commute” includes snow-capped peaks? At Mount Washington Alpine Resort, you can spend your days surrounded by adventure — and get paid for it.

As a Dishwasher, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our lodge kitchens running smoothly. You’ll ensure that dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, organized, and ready for use across multiple kitchen areas.

Cleanliness, efficiency, teamwork, and accurate record keeping are essential in supporting both kitchen and front-of-house operations. If you’re hardworking, adaptable, and take pride in maintaining a clean and organized workplace, this is a great opportunity to be part of the Mount Washington Alpine Resort food and beverage team.

Role Responsibilities:

· Washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment in multiple lodge kitchens
· Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas
· Assisting kitchen staff with basic preparation and cleanup tasks as required
· Following proper sanitation, hygiene, and food safety standards
· Disposing of garbage and recycling as required while keeping work areas clean and tidy
· Communicating with kitchen staff to prioritize washing and restocking needs efficiently
· Maintaining records of dishwashing tasks, equipment use, and cleaning schedules as required
· Supporting the smooth operation of multiple kitchen areas by remaining flexible and adaptable to different workstations
· Ensuring clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment are returned to the appropriate areas
· Pitching in wherever needed — because teamwork makes the mountain run smoothly
· Upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, organization, and teamwork

Qualifications:

· Previous dishwashing or kitchen support experience preferred but not required
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Strong work ethic and attention to detail
· Pride in maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary work areas
· Team-oriented and adaptable to changing work areas and tasks
· Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning and sanitation procedures
· Reliable, punctual, and willing to support kitchen and front-of-house operations

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move quickly for extended periods
· Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs of trays, pots, supplies, or equipment
· Able to work in hot, wet, noisy, and fast-paced kitchen environments
· Comfortable performing repetitive washing, cleaning, lifting, and carrying tasks
· Ability to safely work around wet floors, hot water, steam, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment
· Ability to move between and support multiple kitchen areas as required

Resort Conditions:

Working at a Winter Resort means no two days are the same — and that's part of the adventure! You’ll get to experience a variety of unique locations, from cozy lodges to scenic mountain-top venues only accessible by chairlift. Be prepared to embrace the elements; whether it's bluebird skies, fresh snowfall, or the infamous coastal rain.

Expect to navigate multi-level lodges, steep stairways, and outdoor areas where the terrain can be sloped, snowy, or slippery, so good footwear is essential, indoors and out. Walking through large, icy parking lots is also part of the daily journey. If you love fresh air, stunning views, and a workplace that keeps you on your toes, this is the spot for you!

Why Mount Washington:
· A FREE Seasons Pass for you, and family passes
· Bonuses for referring new staff
· Daily staff shuttle bus from town and the base for easy transportation
· On-the-job training and opportunities to develop your food service and kitchen operations skills
· Resort discounts, including retail, rentals, lessons, and food
· The opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced mountain environment
· The chance to gain valuable experience in professional resort kitchens and food and beverage operations
