Job Description
Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Licensed Facilities Maintenance Manager. This role oversees predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. You will lead a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring that our buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while providing a safe and comfortable environment for associates and customers.
Role Detail- Requires approximately 50% or more travel within the region.
- Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility services needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Provide reporting and analytics.
- Maintain up-to-date contractor licenses to uphold good standing with relevant authorities.
- Participate in training programs to stay familiar with regulatory requirements, conduct site inspections, and monitor compliance and quality standards.
- Obtain and secure necessary permits and schedule inspections as mandated by mechanical or building codes.
- General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience – 3‑5 years preferred.
- Electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical experience.
- Leadership skills – able to inspire, motivate, and develop others.
- Communication & interpersonal skills.
- Problem‑solving skills – root‑cause and breakdown analysis experience.
- Customer service orientation.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- PMP Certification.
- Lean Six Sigma.
- Maintain Mechanical Contractor license in state of employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and either 3 years of experience in facilities, construction, mechanical maintenance, engineering or related area, or 5 years of experience in the same fields.
Preferred Qualifications- General maintenance experience; supervising associates.
- Experience on cross‑functional teams or projects.
- Experience in commercial electrical work.
- Salary range: $90,000 – $180,000.
- Compensation packages based on skill set, experience, location, level, qualifications and job‑related factors.
