Permanent. This role is onsite in Coventry, Rhode Island.
- CAD Operation/Design; preparing design drawings, details, and sketches from sketches, concepts or mark‑ups provided by team engineers or project management staff.
- Drawing and plotting drawings to scale as required.
- Working under the direction of the CAD Manager to design complex drawings, construction documents, routine design layouts, detailed drawings, equipment skid and piping.
- Preparing complex drawings, scaled equipment layouts, and equipment details.
- Preparing and working with bills of material and other construction documents.
- Developing equipment/material schedules and material takeoffs from drawings or sketches.
- Supporting preparation of requests for bids for subcontractors and material vendors, as directed.
- Creating and marking up existing PDF documents using Adobe.
- Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing relevant technical publications.
- Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong adaptability and flexibility to shifting priorities and changes.
- Ability to function effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in a relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of related work experience with CAD.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- 4x10 work schedule; off every Friday.
- 80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO).
- 120 hours of vacation time.
