- A Tutor Counselor may be assigned to tutor up to three classes.
- Salary range: $3,000 - $4,000 (taxes deducted).
- Board: provided Monday-Friday (excluding July
6). - Housing available for duration of employment.
- Fringe benefits include health insurance from June 29 to August 7, secondary to the employee’s plan.

Responsibilities- Participate in orientation and training from June 15 to June 26.
- Supervise and mentor 7‑10 students; uphold community norms.
- Promote conflict‑resolution strategies.
- Provide tutoring of 30‑40 students across 2‑3 subject areas.
- Conduct weekly meetings with instructors.
- Organize and document tutoring sessions; maintain records.
- Plan and execute cultural and character‑building activities.
- Attend staff meetings and advisor check‑ins.
- Respond to routine and emergency situations.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Attend weekly one‑on‑one meetings with resident manager.
Occasional Duties:
Supervise students on field trips to NYC.
- Mature, responsible character; role model for students.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem‑solving, communication skills.
- Independent and collaborative work ability.
- 24/7 availability during program (Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon).
- On‑campus residence sharing suite with 7‑10 high school students.
- No enrollment in summer classes during employment period.
- Adherence to all program, college, and state regulations.
- Availability through Saturday, August 8 for project completion.
Education:
- Full‑time undergraduate with 30+ credits and 2.75+ GPA at end of fall 2025 semester.
- Strong academic proficiency to tutor English, Math, SAT Prep, Science, STEM, Introductory Foreign Languages.
Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in residence life, youth programs, mentoring, or tutoring.
- Ability to work with diverse adolescent populations.
Additional requirements and expectations:
- 24/7 availability during program.
- On‑campus residence sharing suite with 7‑10 high school students.
- No enrollment in summer classes during the employment period.
- Adherence to all program, college, and state regulations.
- Availability through Saturday, August 9 for project completion.
- 1+ years of college housing experience.
- Recent college graduates or postgraduate degree students.
Employee is not exposed to known adverse environmental conditions. Instruction in traditional classroom; residential facility is college dormitory. Cultural and social activities expected.
