Job Summary:
Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, a leading provider of post-hospital rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. As a COTA at Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients by helping them achieve their goals and regain independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients with a range of physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and needs
- Design and implement occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' activities of daily living, cognitive function, and overall well-being
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote healthy habits and long-term independence
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
