Medical Records Specialist

Join the Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island team as a Medical Records Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records. As a dedicated and organized professional, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of patient care by ensuring that medical records are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with regulations. This role also requires the employee to accompany residents to doctors' appointments.

• Completing the responsibility of ensuring patient medical records are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with regulations
• Following up with doctors' offices and medical directors to ensure we have a copy of all physician orders
• Preparing medical record requests in a timely manner
• Scanning all necessary hard copy medical records into the electronic medical record
• Accompanying residents on doctor's appointments and providing patient transport as needed

• High school diploma required
• Experience in medical records preferably in a Long-Term Care facility
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Full-time position with flexible scheduling
