Security Engineer

Position Summary

Staff Security Engineer – Woonsocket, RI. Responsible for application and infrastructure penetration testing, red teaming, risk assessments, and developing testing tools.

• Conduct application, mobile, network, and cloud penetration tests.
• Perform risk-based and intelligence-led tests on public-facing and perimeter assets.
• Collaborate with SOC, VM, and other teams to uncover and verify security weaknesses.
• Develop, plan, and execute detailed Red Teaming engagements.
• Scope, execute, and peer-review penetration testing engagements.
• Use penetration testing tools and emulate hacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Participate in risk assessment and threat modeling sessions.
• Develop scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance testing processes.
• Produce comprehensive reports and presentations of findings.
• Stay current on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.
• Mentor and train junior team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Five years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in penetration testing or related field.
• Three years of experience in each of the following areas:
  • Application, mobile, and infrastructure penetration testing.
  • Vulnerability assessment and network/server hardening.
  • Security assessments, documentation, and baseline configuration.
  • Management and maintenance of security testing tools.
  • Source code review, wireless, database and product security assessment.
• Completion of a university-level research project or internship covering data structures, algorithms, computer architecture, software testing, data warehousing, or mobile computing.

Pay range: $ – $ per year.
