Purpose of Position: A Furniture Assembler is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, build, package, and troubleshoot outdoor furniture assemblies. Assemblers will also be responsible for inspecting assemblies and items to specifications as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Working as part of a team to meet and exceed production goals and quality standards.
Position OverviewThe Furniture Assembler position involves the hands‑on construction of high‑quality outdoor furniture, focusing on setting up, building, packaging, and inspecting assemblies according to specifications. This role requires the effective use of power tools and visual guides to join plastic parts, ensuring all products meet the company's established quality standards. Success relies on working collaboratively within a team to consistently achieve daily production targets in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Assemble plastic parts to form sections, frames, or complete articles of furniture
- Drill holes and drive screws to join parts using power tools
- Inspects and verifies the accuracy of the assembled article for conformance to standards
- Works with other team members and operations to meet daily production goals.
- Other duties as specified by Management.
- Assures products are produced to companies' quality standards.
- Perform secondary and cleaning operations as needed.
- Work independently in a team environment.
This position is responsible for but not limited to all the tasks and duties listed above.

A successful assembler is reliable, detail‑oriented, and proactively solves minor issues to ensure smooth workflow and product accuracy.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic literacy and numerical proficiency (must be able to read and comprehend basic English).
- Ability to interpret visual guides to accurately complete product assembly.
- Mechanical aptitude, including familiarity with light production tools such as drills, routers, sanders, and tape measures.
- Basic computer competency (e.g., MS Windows, email, word processor).
- Demonstrated concentration and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to production schedules.
- Proactive and appropriate problem‑solving skills, including acting quickly when issues arise.
- Capacity to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in a production environment is a plus.
- Stand for prolonged periods and walk regularly, including walking onto the manufacturing floor, while wearing required PPE.
- Talk, hear, sit, and twist.
- Use hands and fingers for pushing, handling, feeling, and reaching with arms.
- Perform repetitive actions, including bending, lifting, carrying, and stretching, to complete duties.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Possess specific vision abilities such as close vision, color vision, and depth perception, along with the visual acuity necessary to read instructions and inspect produced parts.
