Retail Store Area Team Leader

Overview

The hourly pay range for this position is $24 to $26 per hour, and it is eligible for overtime at a rate of $36.00 to $39.00 per hour.

• As a Store Area Team Leader, ensure that all areas within your responsibility adhere to Company merchandising standards, manage the efficient flow of merchandise, and provide leadership and support to store teams.
• Be a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of merchandising principles and freight operations, and lead and empower your team.
• Leverage OSJL’s technology-driven approach to ensure exceptional merchandising, operations, and a collaborative team environment.
• Key responsibilities include:
  
  participating in strategic leadership, ensuring smooth store operations in the absence of the Store Team Leader, and maintaining alignment with company programs to maximize revenue and store goals.
• Oversee backroom efficiency and freight flow, maintain a well-organized backroom, and support a 24-hour freight turnaround when applicable.
• Proactively optimize scheduling and technology use to support freight management and overall store productivity.
• Partner with the Store Team Leader to maintain optimal store inventory levels and ensure proper merchandising and product placement.
• Lead and support timely and accurate product placement on the sales floor and collaborate on merchandising strategies to drive sales and inventory turnover.
• Monitor and assist with freight flow, product receiving, inspection, and addressing shortages or overstocks.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of store associates and foster a stable, knowledgeable team environment.
• Lead by example to ensure operations, merchandising, and visual standards comply with company policies and programs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with store leadership, associates, and field management; monitor customer service to exceed expectations.

• 4+ years of previous retail management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Preferred experience with HCM and Business Intelligence tools.

• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• Long periods of remaining stationary, moving, and positioning oneself to complete assigned tasks; conditions may vary by store location.
