Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome substance abuse and reclaim their lives? We are seeking a part‑time (32 hours per week) Residential Re-Entry Specialist (Youth Residential Mentor) for our Coventry House program in Coventry, RI. At Community Solutions, Inc. WhatYou'll Do
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting
- Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident, in collaboration with other team members
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stay
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of resident progress and behavior
- Ensure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities
- Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift
- Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results
- Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results
- Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results
- Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle
- Conduct monthly emergency drills
- Secure urines from same‑sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation
- Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility
- Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned
- Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility
- Monitor clients self‑administration of medication
- High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field
- Bachelors degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis
- Experience with Youth Population Preferred
- Able to arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change, may also be required to stay later
- Valid driver's license
- Two (2) weeks’ vacation accrued within the first year, bumped to three (3) weeks accrual after 1 year of service
- Sick time (7 days accrual basis), floating holiday time
