Import/Export Coordinator – Coventry | £30,000 – £32,000 per annum | Permanent

Our client is a globally recognised business with a strong UK presence, supplying equipment and solutions to some of the world’s leading brands. Based in Coventry, they are looking for an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to manage their international supply chain with a specific focus on Far East imports.

Please only apply if you have direct, hands- on experience in international logistics and customs clearance. This is not a general administration role.

The Import/Export Coordinator Role

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you'll take full ownership of coordinating inbound international shipments from supplier to destination, managing the end-to-end customs clearance process and ensuring compliance with import/export legislation throughout.

Day to day, you can expect to be:

  • Coordinating international shipments from Far East suppliers, monitoring deliveries and resolving delays
  • Preparing and reviewing import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
  • Managing customs clearance activities, liaising directly with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Monitoring duty payments, taxes, and customs-related charges
  • Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate logistics records
  • Keeping up to date with changes to customs regulations and trade requirements
What We’re Looking For – Import/Export Coordinator

You must have proven experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance. Knowledge of import/export documentation and compliance is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously to tight deadlines.

Experience with ERP or WMS systems and knowledge of Incoterms would be a strong advantage, as would any customs or freight forwarding qualifications.
