As a Waking Night Care Worker
, you will provide consistent overnight support, ensuring each child’s safety, well‑being, and comfort in line with our policies and procedures. You’ll help maintain a secure, nurturing environment while responding to individual needs and promoting a sense of stability throughout the night.
- Provide awake‑night supervision, ensuring the home remains safe and calm
- Work with the team to offer emotional and practical support
- Complete regular safety and security checks and ensure all children/young people are accounted for
- Support bedtime routines and help children/young people settle for the night
- Assist children/young people in the morning with waking and getting ready
- Create a supportive environment where every child/young person feels valued and listened to
- A caring and empathetic nature
- Experience working with children and young people with complex and mental health needs
- Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude
- A passion for making a difference in young lives
