Shift: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm - one hour lunch

We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to assist both HR and payroll functions. The Human Resources Payroll Assistant helps manage employee data, timekeeping information, benefits documentation, and payroll preparation to ensure efficient workforce administration.

• 2-5 years in HR or payroll roles; experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office - Word and excel and access
• Knowledge of employment laws and payroll regulations
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

• Collect, calculate, and process payroll on a regular schedule (bi-weekly)
• Prepare manual payroll checks and handle voids or corrections
• Ensure accurate tax with holdings and deductions

HR Administration

• Handle onboarding and offboarding paperwork for new hires and terminations
• Maintain and update employee records, including job status, titles, and benefits
• Assist with employee relations matters

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Prepare payroll reports and audit documentation
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll and timekeeping records

Employee Support

• Respond to staff inquiries about wages, attendance, and deductions
• Coordinate with departments to manage leave balances and benefits changes
