LVN​/LPN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psych Tech (LPT) to join our healthcare team.

8‑hour shifts, pay per diem.

AM, PM, and NOC shifts available.

Weekend availability required: at least two weekend days per pay period (e.g., every other weekend or one weekend day per week). Preference for available every weekend.

Pay range $30–$35 per hour.

Your role as an LVN/LPT is to assist physicians, RNs, and the treatment team in delivering comprehensive patient care to all patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders, including administering medication prescribed by a physician.

Aurora Charter Oak Hospital has been delivering behavioral health treatment services for over 83 years and is located on 10 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in Covina, California.

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psych Tech (LPT) license
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card required upon hire
• High school graduation or equivalent in education or experience
• Basic knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures
• Familiarity with the disease concept of addiction treatment
• Knowledge of 12‑step treatment and cognitive aspects of addictive disease treatment
• Ability to identify signs of withdrawal from major classes of abused substances and to apply this knowledge to the treatment of chemically dependent patients
• Therapeutic Options Training (TOT) to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor
