Job Description SummaryAs part of the BD Urology & Critical Care (UCC) – Urology Strategic Innovation team, the Associate Director will be responsible for leading cross‑functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Business Development, Regulatory, etc.) to identify and accelerate growth opportunities within the Urology business unit and drive go‑to‑market strategy development for the commercial organization.
Responsibilities- Accountable for strategic innovation initiatives supporting the BD UCC Urology portfolio; identify, develop and validate strategic growth opportunities aligned with current and future global business objectives.
- Develop a standard methodology for innovation, including learning plans and prioritization methods.
- Continuously improve strategic innovation processes, including opportunity identification and assessment.
- Develop deep insights for target segments, stakeholder mapping, decision journey, offering strategy, and go‑to‑market approach.
- Drive cross‑functional evaluation of growth opportunities to identify unmet needs, evaluate market size, and assess customers’ willingness to adopt.
- Partner with internal departments to build effective teams, integrate strategic initiatives into the innovation process.
- Manage strategic initiatives to research and analyze potential growth opportunities.
- Create business plans detailing appropriate project execution.
- Define strategic direction on where to play and how to win, including licensing, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Design and deliver impactful communications to business and company leadership, stakeholders, and corporate officers.
- Collaborate with marketing and R&D for project prioritization entering the pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with BD quality policies, procedures, safety regulations, and local, state, federal laws.
- Demonstrate strong and clear accountability for program/initiative success.
- Articulate a compelling vision and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
- Lead with agility, action, and confidence in uncertainty.

- Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Innovation, Strategy, Business Development, Healthcare Management, or Finance).
- Preferred: MBA and/or experience as a practicing health care professional.
- 5+ years in strategic or global marketing and cross‑functional product development in healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to develop analytical analysis that drives business improvement, growth opportunities, strategy development, or technology decisions.
- Ability to independently identify, prioritize, and advocate growth opportunities.
- Experience leading complex cross‑functional or cross‑country initiatives.
- Experience with financial models, analysis, and market analysis.
- Experience motivating and delivering results with high‑performing teams.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
