Peachtree Academy – Innovative, Christ-Centered Education Elementary Teachers (2026–2027 School Year)
Peachtree Academy is a highly accredited community stakeholder that is seeking 2 Elementary Teachers to join our team of passionate educators for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. Our growth in Kindergarten this year will add one First grade position. An Upper Elementary position will also be available.

We are looking for an innovative, passionate educator who is committed to academic excellence and understands the importance of nurturing students in a Christ-centered learning environment. Our ideal candidate understands the critical need to build strong foundational reading skills at an early age, effectively teaches small groups, and utilizes multi-sensory instructional strategies to reach every learner. Math and Reading are the foundation blocks for future academic success.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field

Experience teaching in an accredited school is preferred

Ability to teach foundational literacy and numeracy skills effectively

Experience with small-group instruction and differentiated learning

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Passion for educating children in a Christ-centered environment

Certification

Georgia Teaching Certification preferred

Out-of-state certified teachers are welcome to apply

Recent graduates who have completed student teaching/field experience are encouraged to apply

Duties Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.

Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.

Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.

Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.

Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.

Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.

Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.

Assign and grade classwork and homework.

Read books to entire classes or small groups.

Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.

Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.

Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and to determine priorities for their children and their resource needs.

Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.

Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
