Shape the numbers behind complex power projects

Join our team in Covington, GA as the go-to expert who translates drawings and field realities into accurate industrial electrical cost projections. Your work ensures our proposals are competitive, compliant, and grounded in real-world execution.

A day in the role

You begin by studying project plans and specifications, mapping out scope, and anticipating challenges that could impact labor, materials, and overhead. Later, you might walk a jobsite to verify assumptions and gather details that sharpen your figures. Back at your desk, you collaborate with project managers and engineers to align on approach and sequence, then reach out to suppliers and subcontractors to secure current, competitive quotes.

Your afternoon could be dedicated to building a comprehensive estimate, leveraging estimating software and your historical cost database to validate pricing. As bid time approaches, you help craft proposals and client-facing presentations, ensuring the numbers are clear and defensible. Throughout, you stay current with codes, standards, and industry trends so our solutions remain compliant and cost-effective.

What you will handle
  • Develop complete cost estimates for industrial electrical projects—materials, labor, and overhead included.
  • Review drawings/specs to define scope and flag risks early.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data essential for accurate pricing.
  • Partner with project managers and engineers to consolidate inputs and clarify assumptions.
  • Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for competitive pricing.
  • Maintain and refine a historical cost/pricing database for reliable benchmarking.
  • Contribute to bid proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Track industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
What you bring
  • Proven experience estimating electrical work in an industrial environment.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
  • Fluency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and math abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.
  • Self-directed work style with the ability to manage multiple concurrent estimates.
  • Relevant certifications or a degree in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus.

If transforming complex plans into precise, winning estimates energizes you, we’d like to hear from you.
