Lead PLC/SCADA Systems Engineer Role overview

Own the architecture, development, and deployment of sophisticated industrial control systems while guiding teams and collaborating with customers to deliver reliable, standards‑compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement complex control systems for industrial use cases.
  • Lead and mentor engineers; set technical direction and uphold best practices.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to capture requirements and specifications.
  • Create control system designs that meet project goals and compliance needs.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive system testing and validation.
  • Direct installation, start‑up, and commissioning efforts on site.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in control system design, development, and implementation.
  • Mastery of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
  • Strong command of control theory and advanced control algorithms.
  • Track record leading complex projects from concept to delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and with external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency with EPLAN, Solid Works Electrical, and AutoCAD.
Hands‑on expertise
  • PLC troubleshooting and PLC programming
  • Electrical schematics; electrical/electronic systems fundamentals
  • General troubleshooting and industrial automation equipment troubleshooting
  • Work with 120/208/240/480 V and high‑voltage systems
  • CNC machine installation; electrical installation in industrial settings
  • Industrial robot programming; SCADA configuration and support
  • CAD software utilization (AutoCAD)
  • Industrial electrical experience in production environments
Primary tools
  • CAD Software:
    AutoCAD; plus EPLAN and Solid Works Electrical for schematics and panel design
