About The Role — Covington, GA
Step into a role where precision meets productivity. As our Structural Steel BIM Detailer, you’ll transform design intent into constructible reality—producing shop-ready deliverables and coordinating with every stakeholder who touches the steel. Your work keeps projects moving with clarity, accuracy, and speed.
A day in the lifeYou start by reviewing architectural and structural plans, aligning connection details with project specifications. You open your Tekla/SDS2 model or AutoCAD as needed, refine member geometry, verify connections, and generate fabrication deliverables.
By midday, you’re partnering with engineers and project managers to resolve design questions, then syncing with the shop to address production nuances. Before wrap-up, you issue updated drawings, manage revision logs, and prep BOMs, cut lists, and CNC files for fabrication.
