Medical Receptionist

About the Role:

Alliance Family Care LLC is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Covington, GA. • Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
• Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed
• Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming

• Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting a must
• knowledgeable in medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software. EPIC preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a professional demeanor
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
