Job Overview
AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. The role requires minimal supervision, driving stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and assisting in automating and scaling network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Scale support across multiple data center locations and manage day‑to‑day capacity management.
- Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
- Leverage experience supporting large‑scale enterprise networks, providing implementation and troubleshooting.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and cords.
- Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Build higher‑level networking devices in collaboration with ‑Scaling peers.
- Must travel within and outside the regional work area using personal vehicle with valid driver’s license.
- Must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Must work 24/7 environments, participate in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support.
- Must work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Must bind, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk up to 8+ hours a day.
- Must ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- 1+ year(s) of computer networking experience.
- 1+ year(s) of Linux operating system experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware.
- Capability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Experience working in cramped or elevated spaces with health & safety compliance.
- Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience managing work through ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of cabling infrastructure best practices.
- Experience in data‑center environments (racking, stacking, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
- CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+ certification or related field background.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test-net connection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, packet capture).
- Knowledge of HTTP(S), DNS, TCP/IP.
