Structures Technician

TRC is working with a leading aerospace manufacturer
Position Overview
The Structures Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing aircraft structural components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with aircraft materials and blueprints.
You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure structural assemblies meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install aircraft structural components including sheet metal, composite panels, frames, and subassemblies
- Perform drilling, riveting, bonding, sealing, and fastening operations
- Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical manuals
- Measure, cut, and fabricate parts to precise tolerances
- Perform structural repairs and modifications
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards
- Conduct in-process inspections and document completed work
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft structures, sheet metal, or aerospace manufacturing
- Experience working with aluminum, composites, and structural assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Understanding of safety and quality control procedures
- Ability to work in a production environment and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P License (preferred)
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or high-volume production
- Familiarity with composite bonding and advanced materials
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
