You arrive at a client facility with a small PEC crew. You study the blueprint, rig the machinery, set anchors, and precisely align shafts and gearboxes. Before lunch, you’re TIG welding a stainless line; by afternoon, you’re diagnosing a stubborn valve and verifying switch gear safety. Tomorrow might bring a different challenge at a different site—some projects require out‑of‑town travel as needed—yet the goal stays the same: keep critical industrial equipment running reliably.
Process Equipment and Controls (PEC) is seeking a detail‑driven Millwright who thrives on installation, maintenance, and repair of complex mechanical systems and who can switch seamlessly between independent work and team collaboration.
What you’ll tackle
Install, move, assemble, and align industrial machinery and process equipment
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, valves, and gearboxes
Execute TIG, MIG, and arc welding on a variety of materials
Use methodical, step‑by‑step troubleshooting to solve technical problems with measurable data Conduct machine safety checks and uphold strong personal and environmental safety practices
Don required PPE, including respirators and other protective gear, to complete tasks safely
Travel and schedule
This position includes periodic travel to job sites, including out‑of‑town assignments when required, and the flexibility to work overtime as project demands arise.
What you bring2–3+ years of experience as a millwright or mechanical technician
Hands‑on knowledge of industrial machinery assembly and alignment techniques
Fluency in reading and interpreting blueprints
Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb; comfortable working in tight or tiring positions
Capability to frequently lift, carry, and position parts/equipment up to 50 lbs Preferred proficiencies
CNC tooling knowledge and experience with a CNC grinder
Mechanical testing and troubleshooting expertise
OSHA 10‑hour certification
Machine safety inspections
Blueprint reading
Tools and tech you’ll encounter
