Assembly Line Worker | Details and Compensation

  • Location: Covington GA 30014 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $15.50/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Assembly Line Worker | Summary and Highlights

The Assembly Line Worker will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a light assembly position focused on assembling product kits for shipment to customers. Candidates must be dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to maintain consistent attendance.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs.
  • Benefits are available to full‑time employees after 90 days and include health, optical, dental, life, and short‑term disability insurance.
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full‑time employees after 1 year of service.
Assembly Line Worker | Responsibilities
  • Assemble kits on a production line according to established procedures.
  • Sort and inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Use inspection tools, handcarts, and other light manufacturing equipment.
  • Read rulers and perform basic measurements accurately.
  • Maintain quality records and complete required documentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Move materials, parts, assemblies, and scrap products as needed.
  • Work effectively in a metrics‑driven production environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Assembly Line Worker | Requirements
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED (verifiable).
  • Attendance:
    Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • 1+ year of continuous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or quality‑related position.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work overtime when requested.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Repetitive use of hands and wrists throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot summer conditions and cooler winter conditions.
  • Ability to work in a moderate to loud manufacturing environment.
