The Production Operator-Furnace Loader is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and processes loading material into the furnace in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and production schedules. Operators may be assigned to specific equipment or processes depending on business needs. Typical work hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m. with flexibility required for business needs. Frequent overtime may be required. This is a full-time Non-Exempt position.
Operate and monitor assigned equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Perform basic setups, adjustments, and preventive checks to maintain machine performance.
Conduct in-process quality inspections and document results.
Handle raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
Record production data accurately, including quantities, times, and inspection results.
Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production targets.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment; follow 5S and housekeeping standards.
Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly.
Cross-train and provide support in other areas as required.
Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.
Ability to work in environments with extreme heat, noise, dust, and chemicals depending on specialized area.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, basic blueprints, and measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, straight edge and micrometer.
Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality.
Ability to operate forklift (certification preferred).Ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed
