Full-Time Veterinary Technician or Assistant Wellspring Animal Hospital, Covington, GA

We’re searching for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant who shares our commitment to compassionate care and enjoys working in a team-focused setting. You’ll work alongside four veterinarians and a skilled team of 5 to 6 assistants, collaborating daily to provide high quality care for our patients and a great experience for our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to put your skills to work, share what you know with your teammates, and continue growing in your role.
Responsibilities:As a vet assistant or technician, you will:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and support patients before, during, and after surgery
- Support diagnostic and treatment procedures to help the day run smoothly
- Collect and process lab samples
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed
- Educate clients on pet care, treatment plans, and preventative health
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for whatever the day brings
- Safely restrain patients while keeping their comfort top of mind
- Manage medical records accurately
- Greet clients and create a welcoming visit from check-in to check-out
- Help create a calm, compassionate experience for every pet

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting (required)
- Ability to commute to Covington, GA 30016 (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong multitasking and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift animals and stand for long periods
- Punctual, reliable, and eager to help
