SummaryThis position is responsible for ensuring the quality of products processed for Interventional Access Systems (BAS Kitting) at 8195, Covington, GA. The QC Technician will ensure that all procedures, inspection protocols and specifications are adhered to in accordance with client product requirements and meets visual, physical, and/or dimensional requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs quality control inspections on product and/or components in accordance with internal plant SOPs and product specifications.
- Accurately prepares inspection paperwork and result documentation.
- Verifies documentation of product lot records to ensure compliance with the product specifications and good documentation procedures.
- Prepares MRR/Rejection Notices (where appropriate).
- Utilizes sampling plans to determine inspection levels for routine quality inspections.
- Trains on all applicable procedures as it relates to the Quality Technician role.
- Participates as needed as a quality representative for small team activities for process improvements.
- Cross trains to provide quality control coverage as needed in support of business needs and strategies.
- Seen as a champion of quality in the execution of the QMS.
- Must have previous experience in a regulated environment (ISO, FDA).
- Proficient in the use of personal computers with basic level of keyboarding skills.
- Ability to utilize measurement equipment (calibrated rulers & weights, calipers, etc.) a plus.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Self-starter, can work independently with little direct supervision.
- Responsible decision maker, able to reason and make sound decisions.
- Experience with continuous improvement, problem analysis, root cause investigation.
- Understands quality sampling plans and can read and understand AQL inspection plans.
- Experience performing quality inspections in process or within a lab environment.
High School Education or equivalent (entry level position).
Language SkillsAbility to read and communicate well with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must read and interpret sampling plans.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic math problems; basic aptitude test required.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to sit and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lift up to 35 pounds. Requires close vision. Interaction with other personnel in various areas of the building. Exposure to typical office and warehouse temperatures and humidity.
Work EnvironmentEmployee primarily works in an office setting but is occasionally required to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Noise level is quiet to moderate.
