Job Title: R&D Lab Technician
Location: Covington, GA
Contract Length: 2+ Months

Job Description: The Technician will complete routine technical tasks and apply technical principles to develop solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope. The role primarily involves contact with the immediate supervisor, team members, and other professionals in the business unit.

• Completion of technical tasks.
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks, including gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and manipulating technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Prepare product technical documents, reports, and drawings (including flow charts, block diagrams & schematics).
• Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
• Scope equipment for use and complete qualifications.
• Work with the team to organize lab activities and functions, including calibration.
• Notify the supervisor of factors that may affect project results or progress versus goals.
• Develop prototype processes and test set‑ups.

• A combination of equivalent education and experience, or a minimum of training beyond high school in a technical discipline, with more than 6 years relevant experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Or a minimum of an Associate Degree with less than 2 years relevant experience.
• Capable of applying basic scientific principles and concepts and developing solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Uses standard and approved research and development methods.
• Requires application of basic/standard scientific principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
• Capable of developing solutions to assigned problems ranging from simple to moderate scope and complexity, using judgment within defined practices and policies to determine appropriate actions.
