Maintenance Technician - Warehouse Conveyor Systems

Covington, GA 30014 Pay Rate: $29.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM Shift Flexibility

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with hands‑on experience supporting warehouse conveyor systems, automated material handling equipment, and facility maintenance. This role is focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing conveyor systems within a warehouse environment.
Please note:
This is not an automotive mechanic position. Candidates with auto fleet mechanic experience only will not be considered. Ideal candidates will have experience working with industrial conveyor systems, electrical controls, and mechanical equipment. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, complete repairs, and support overall facility operations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Manage, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment. Perform regular inspections of facility equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system problems. Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, controls, and mechanical repairs. Install, set up, and maintain equipment and machinery. Maintain inventory of repair equipment, tools, and supplies.
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery, conveyors, buildings, and grounds. Maintain material handling equipment (MHE) batteries as required. Identify defective materials, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions and report findings to leadership. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and work completed. Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations. Assist other facility maintenance team members with assigned maintenance activities.
High school diploma or GED required. 3.5-5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience preferred. Experience working with warehouse conveyor systems is required. Experience troubleshooting and repairing automated material handling equipment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting skills. Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.

Automated conveyor systems Electrical controls and components Mechanical systems Preventive maintenance programs Warehouse/material handling equipment Basic electrical knowledge of: 12V and 24V AC/DC power 120V/208V power 277V/480V power Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience using work order systems (SAP preferred).
