Operator 1, Warehouse Operations
Location:
Covington, GA 30014 | Contractor | $16.50/hr | M-F 11am - 7:30pm
About the Role
Join a high-performance warehouse team as an Operator 1, where you'll be at the heart of our operations. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, are eager to master essential warehouse skills, and want to build a strong foundation for career advancement in logistics and supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the warehouse using manual and powered equipment (not a forklift role)
- Operate conveyers, handcarts, cranes, and power trucks as required for daily operations
- Accurately maintain inventory and materials movement records
- Follow standardized operating procedures and quality guidelines
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work efficiently in a metrics-driven environment and support team objectives
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year warehouse experience or related training
- Basic knowledge of material handling, logistics, or manufacturing processes
- Proficient English reading, writing, and basic math skills
- General computer literacy
- Physical ability to lift/move 50+ lbs and work in changing temperatures
- Willingness to obtain/maintain job-related certifications as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fast-paced, industrial environments
- Exposure to metrics-driven operations
- Skills in material management systems
