About the Role:

Step into a hands-on, action-oriented warehouse position as an Operator 2 with a leading company in Covington, GA. As a valued team member, you will be responsible for efficient material handling, equipment operation, and contributing to a high-performing, metrics-driven environment. This is a contractor role with stable weekday hours (Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm) and a competitive pay rate of $17.50/hr.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Accurately maintain records and documentation as needed.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
- Assist with inventory control, material storage, and product staging.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational targets.
- Uphold safety standards and protocols; report any potential hazards.
- Perform tasks in a physically demanding environment, including regular lifting/moving of items over 50 lbs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.

Required

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 2 years warehouse or related experience, including forklift operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification (DT required) or willingness to obtain.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working in a metrics-driven or production-focused environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Physically able to stand, walk, lift, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness to work in varied temperatures and noise levels.

Preferred

Skills:

- 5+ years warehouse experience.
- Additional material handling equipment certifications.
- Familiarity with logistics or manufacturing production processes.
