Distribution Supervisor

The Operations Supervisor directs and coordinates the activities of warehouse associates and all operations related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of product.

1st Shift: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

• Ensure timely and accurate shipments of orders from the distribution center.
• Utilize and ensure compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems.
• Maintain departmental procedures, SOPs, and work instructions; provide training to associates as required.
• Ensure all associates follow C2C training guidelines.
• Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels; manage fluctuating workloads.
• Review work throughout the process and at completion to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Evaluate employee performance; prepare performance appraisals and maintain work records and reports.
• Conduct staff meetings to relay general information or address specific topics such as safety, quality, or policy changes.
• Recommend or initiate personnel actions (promotions, transfers, disciplinary measures); resolve personnel problems and refer to higher‑level management when necessary.
• Work flexible shifts and weekends as business requirements dictate.
• Follow and monitor/correct associates in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOPs and work instructions.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to proper operating practices to prevent injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred. Associate’s degree with two to three years’ related experience, or high‑school diploma/GED with four to five years’ related work experience.
• Minimum supervisory experience: Three years in a fast‑paced environment; ability to operate MHE.
• Knowledge: Inventory and warehouse management systems; distribution principles; computer hardware/software;
  Good Documentation Practices.
• Skills: Ability to perform/operate in a metrics‑driven environment; excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership; organizational and time‑management skills; two‑way communication; basic math computation; inductive and deductive reasoning; ability to analyze, synthesize, compare and interpret information.
• Languages: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations; write reports and business correspondence with proper grammar and tone.
• Physical Demands: Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hand motions, lifting (occasionally over 50lbs), exposure to moderate to loud noise, moving equipment, and potential temperature excursions.
