Tax Staff Accountant

Job Description

We need an experienced tax accountant with a minimum of 5 years tax experience. Candidate preferable will be an EA or CPA. NMS, Inc., a 4 office CPA Firm is looking for a Staff Accountant for our Chardon location. We are a rapidly growing practice with a diverse client base ranging from individuals, smaller private help businesses, to large local non‑profits.

Candidates should have a college degree with a major in accounting. Experience with MS Office, Quickbooks, and Tax work is a must. Salary will be discussed based on experience.

• Have strong written and oral communication skills
• Have strong bookkeeping skills and a firm understanding of corporate/business accounting
• Willingness to work on multiple types of projects
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good problem solving/critical thinker
• Must be detail‑oriented and organized.

5+ years tax experience, preferred EA or CPA certification, college degree in accounting, proficiency in MS Office, Quick Books, and tax functions.
