Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Full-Time | Direct Hire

A well-established roofing company serving the community since 1949 seeks a highly organized and dependable Office Manager / Bookkeeper to join their team. The company prides itself on exceptional customer service, quality workmanship, and a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Position Overview

The Office Manager / Bookkeeper will oversee day-to-day office operations and manage the company's accounting and administrative functions. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the business by handling billing, accounts receivable, collections, vendor payments, and office coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a close-knit environment where their contributions directly impact the business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all bookkeeping and accounting-related activities
  • Enter invoices, process billing, and send invoices to customers
  • Handle accounts receivable, collections, and customer payments
  • Process vendor invoices and coordinate payments
  • Work closely with the external accounting firm
  • Assist with payroll processing (training available if needed)
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Greet customers and visitors professionally
  • Maintain organized filing systems and accurate records
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and office communications
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Support general administrative and office management functions
Qualifications
  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office management experience required
  • Experience with accounts receivable, billing, and collections
  • Quick Books experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Payroll experience is a plus, but not required
  • Construction industry experience is helpful, but not required
Software Experience
  • Quick Books
  • Field Edge (CRM)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Fully onsite in Fairfield, OH
  • Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30/5:00 PM
  • Some flexibility available
  • Expectation of approximately 45 hours per week
