JOB DESCRIPTION

Friends of Sherrod Brown is seeking a Scheduling Manager for the 2026 campaign cycle. The Scheduling Manager is a key member of the Operations team responsible for coordinating Senator Brown’s campaign schedule and travel. The Scheduling Manager is central to ensuring the Senator’s time is maximized throughout the campaign, the Senator is adequately prepared for each event or meeting, and that departments across the campaign collaborate effectively in planning and executing the campaign schedule.

This role reports to the Operations Director and works closely with the Director of Advance.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a strong team player, and quick on their feet. This position requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, often involving switching back and forth between tasks based on their importance, and an ability to work on projects with limited direction when needed.

The position requires discretion at all times and an understanding of the magnitude of handling confidential information.

Responsibilities:
  • Track and maintain the Senator’s short and long-term schedule, working across departments to identify priorities and draft schedules.
  • Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, gaps, and logistics issues and work to resolve them.
  • Track and organize scheduling requests, and communicate with external partners and stakeholders to prioritize requests.
  • Distribute detailed daily schedules and memorandums to the Senator and key staff.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in conversations, documents, and communications regarding the campaign and the Senator’s schedule.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A positive attitude and a self-starter mentality.
  • At least 1 cycle or 2 years of professional experience on campaigns, in government or advocacy organizations, or similar executive support and administrative roles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with scheduling processes and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with irregular hours and working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
