IT Intern; Desktop Support Administrator

Role Overview

The IT Intern is an entry-level role responsible for providing IT services and support to enhance departments' operational efficiencies, patient safety, and departmental workflow needs. The expectation for this position is to gain experience and abilities required for an IT role in a healthcare organization.

• Assists with the design of system workflow
• Provides support and input as needed
• Participates in change management activities
• Assists in the development of policies and procedures
• Troubleshoots issues with vendor assistance

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented and organized, and have good analytical and problem-solving ability.

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Required proficiency)
• Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem-solving ability (Required proficiency)
• Notable client service, communication, and relationship building skills (Required proficiency)
• Ability to work in hospital clinical and office areas where patient safety and confidentiality are core values (Required proficiency)
• Reliable transportation and be flexible to work varying shifts (Required proficiency)
• Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, etc.) (Required proficiency)
