Position: Financial Associate/Administrative Professional 1 - 20050006

Position

Financial Associate/Administrative Professional 1 – Division of Parks & Watercraft, Morgan County, Ohio.

Responsibilities
  • Performs fiscal-related duties for multiple parks, including preparing, compiling, processing, and verifying statistical, financial, accounting, and/or auditing information for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Handles accounting duties such as contacting suppliers for account information and accessing financial data to answer general or account-specific questions.
  • Provides administrative and secretarial support for Burr Oak State Park, including producing memos/forms, coordinating daily workflow, and serving as liaison between management and staff.
  • Coordinates business functions for Burr Oak State Park: monitors budget, travel, lodging, vendor set‑up, expense reports, payroll & timekeeping, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Performs point-of-sale transactions for state and private dock activities, boat & motor registrations, activity fees, permits, and licenses.
  • Manages payroll and timekeeping records for park employees.
Compensation

Starting hourly pay of $22.96/hr with multiple pay increases over the first 5.5 years, ending at $27.92/hr cost‑of‑living adjustments (COLA) and longevity pay supplements apply after five years of state service.

Qualifications
  • 18 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, or completion of a high school technical program in accounting with 6 months of experience or training, or completion of an associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent to the minimum class qualifications listed.
  • Basic proficiency in spreadsheet software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
