Job Overview

Senior Customer Analyst – Senior Customer Analyst position supports the largest Grocer in the market, Kroger. The role analyzes sales data, identifies performance trends, and delivers actionable insights to drive results across channels while managing customer‑facing initiatives such as display, e‑com, pricing and promotion.

  • Reports to the Sr. Director of Kroger Team

Location:

Cincinnati (headquarters of the customer). The position requires 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
  • Account analytics – serve as the account’s analytics resource, evaluating multiple data sources such as Circana and customer system data and building analytical tools/models for pricing and promotion.
  • Provide fact‑based insights to identify key distribution, pricing and placement opportunities to grow the business.
  • Access, analyze and interpret business indicators including shipments, consumption, shopper trends, inventory, pricing, and KPIs for categories/brands and their impact on the markets.
  • Track key performance metrics such as Sales Growth and Share against benchmarks, and deliver weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc deliverables.
  • Relationship management – work closely with Account Executives, Sales Directors and Category Management to review business trends and suggest opportunities to improve share, profit and gross sales volume.
  • Support the Kroger Sr. National Account Executive and WK Retail Teams by providing promotional information for execution and by delivering internal and external data/reporting.
  • Provide insights on sales, inventory and market share metrics and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities to improve profit and gross sales volume.
  • Maximize business processes – develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and business metrics, partner with account managers and cross‑functional teams for strategic initiatives and business planning, and keep up with ad‑hoc deliverables.
  • Lead efforts with field, division, store and division teams to engage Kroger and store/division levels, providing sell sheets, sales metrics and upcoming plan information.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced expertise in Excel and experience building PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience working with retailer data and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred
  • Previous experience communicating complex information to multiple audiences with differing knowledge levels, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with Kroger and their data systems.
  • Understanding of promotional methodology and management across retailers.
  • Previous sales and/or analytical experience.
  • Experience with Circana, Kroger systems (Market 6, 84.51 Stratum).
Salary Range

$84,000 – $105,000
