Across our 12 divisions and support services, we employ office staff, law enforcement officers, geologists, biologists, engineers, attorneys, communicators, managers, and others. We periodically host public events at parks, nature preserves, wildlife areas, and participate in state events and updates.

What you will do
  • Performs fiscal related duties for multiple parks (e.g., prepares, compiles, processes & verifies statistical, financial, accounting &/or auditing information for accounts payable & receivable).
  • Performs accounting duties (e.g., contacts suppliers to obtain or relay account information, accesses financial information to answer general questions or account specific questions).
  • Provides administrative & secretarial support for Salt Fork State Park by performing administrative tasks (e.g., produces memos/forms, coordinates daily workflow of the office, serves as liaison between management & staff).
  • Coordinates business functions for Salt Fork State Park (e.g., monitors budget, travel, lodging, vendor set-up, expense reports, payroll & timekeeping, vehicle maintenance, point-of-sale transactions).
  • Starting hourly pay of $23.65/hr with potential pay increases over the first 5.5 years of service with an end salary of $28.76/hr.
  • Longevity pay supplements may begin after five years of state service; refer to the OCSEA pay range schedule & longevity rates.

Unusual working conditions: May be required to work long or unusual hours during peak operational periods.

Qualifications

18 months’ experience or training in accounting &/or finance to include basic spreadsheet experience; or completion of a high school technical program in accounting with 6 months’ experience or training in accounting or finance; or completion of an associate degree/core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent to the minimum qualifications.
