Creative Design Specialist

Position reports to the Creative Director within the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR). Full‑time, permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver design solutions across web, social media, print, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain visual identity and brand guidelines for UGA and DAR.
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Create design briefs, present concepts, and communicate design rationale.
  • Conduct quality checks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure high standards.
  • Coordinate with print vendors, manage production details, and maintain quality standards.
  • Participate in DARCOMM staff meetings, brainstorm, and contribute to communication strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of full‑time professional experience in graphic design (agency or industry).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing branding, print, digital, typography, and composition.
  • Experience with print vendors and brand guideline implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in web and social media design.
  • Knowledge of image editing and retouching.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively.
Physical and Practical Requirements
  • Work in a standard office environment.
  • May require after‑hours work and occasional travel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
