Responsibilities
- Evangelize and advocate proper use of the design system across teams to enable consistent experiences, reuse and efficient design & development.
- Lead efforts to understand, explore, and evolve design systems based on user feedback.
- Act as a bridge between product designers and the design system team by gathering, documenting, and informing the design system. Communicate and articulate design system updates and decisions across teams.
- Work collaboratively on a larger design team made up of interaction designers, visual designers, motion designers, researchers, PMs, and front-end developers focused on aligned goals.
- Understand complex problems, prioritize needs, and design with high quality and thoroughness. Have a passion for raising the product craft bar by driving best practices.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) that define a successful design system.
- 5+ years (post education) of relevant design experience with proven success in working with partners and customers.
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in product design, HCI, interaction design, industrial design, communication design, architecture, or equivalent experience.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and evolving a library of reusable UI components, patterns and guidelines.
- Presentation of a strong design portfolio (depth and breadth of interaction and visual).
- Ability to quickly produce elegant and easily understood diagrams, wireframes, concept maps, prototypes, interaction guidelines and other related artifacts for a strong interaction point-of-view.
- Good fundamental design skills (typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, etc.) and creation of a variety of visual mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, and motion and visual guidelines.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant design tools.
- Demonstrable ability to work with program management, engineering, and research.
