Valet Traffic Coordinator - OSU Wexner Medical Center

Starting pay $16 - $18 per hour. No experience needed.

Job Details

Weekdays, some weekends, day shift between the hours of 6am and 8pm.

Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits, and in the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Direct vehicular traffic while providing attentive, friendly service to all patients and guests.
  • Issue valet parking tickets to patients/guests and follow mystery shop standards with each arrival.
  • Uphold site management teams parking policies and procedures.
  • Park and retrieve guest vehicles promptly and safely.
  • Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup when applicable.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, greet guests immediately, and use proper phone etiquette.
  • Assist guests with directions and inquiries, provide information about surrounding area and main attractions.
  • Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Collect parking operation data as applicable.
  • Maintain claim checks and guest folio archives.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensure: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Work Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience if no high school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of traffic and valet procedures.
  • Skills: Read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations; perform basic arithmetic with currency, weight, volume and distance; understand 24‑hour and military time; understand rates applicable to time passed; customer service experience preferred; computer experience preferred; able to drive manual transmission and perform parallel parking.
