Persistent Recruiting Solutions is representing a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead its customer-facing sales support function. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving customer satisfaction, managing order execution, and developing a team of sales professionals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to ensure exceptional service and operational alignment.

Position

Summary

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for leading daily sales operations while ensuring accurate order execution, proactive customer communication, and outstanding service performance. This role manages and develops a team of sales representatives, serves as a key liaison between customers and internal departments, and drives continuous improvement across customer service processes. Success in this role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to balance customer expectations with operational capabilities.

What

You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day customer order execution, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and timely issue resolution
  • Manage, coach, and develop Sales Representatives and Senior Sales Representatives through clear expectations and performance feedback
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service, delivery, pricing, and commercial issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to align customer commitments with manufacturing capacity and business priorities
  • Oversee pricing, quotations, order entry activities, and warranty or service claims
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and profitability across customer transactions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service levels, communication, and customer satisfaction
  • Support customer onboarding and new business development activities
  • Maintain team knowledge of products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Promote accountability, professionalism, and ethical business practices throughout the organization
What Sets You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of customer service, sales operations, account management, or related leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading and developing customer-facing teams
  • Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Experience managing order execution, quotations, pricing, and customer commitments
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement
