Job Overview

Make a difference while doing what you love. Big Smiles, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) in Covington, KY and surrounding areas to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools.

Our innovative in-school program offers a workday that ends with the school day, with no nights or weekend work. This schedule is ideal for working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Qualifications
  • Experience as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)
  • CPR/BLS Card
  • Digital X-ray imaging experience
  • Valid driver license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally
  • Good working with children
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; organized, detail-oriented, and multitask capable
  • Able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • X-ray certified
  • Sealant certified
  • Coronal polishing certified
Responsibilities
  • Provide dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics
  • Perform digital X-ray imaging
  • Chart patient records
  • Assist with equipment set-up, breakdown, and sterilization
  • Travel daily to and from school sites
